Iris Bournazou is an Athens (GR) based New Media/Visual artist, exploring new aesthetics through digital space and material reality. She graduated from the Fine and Applied Arts Department, University of Western Macedonia with a BA&MFA in Visual Arts & Approaches to Natural and Urban Spaces – as well as from the Siena Art Institute in Italy. She specializes in digital video, new media (image, sound) and painting. Iris’s Bournazou work employs the use of loops, glitch, mapping projections and installations. The core of the work is characterized by an intuitive level, through which the form, the atmosphere and the concept of trace are externalized. @i-ris_ ‘s work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions, such as Interia Vox | UOWM (2019, GR), P.I.C.S.
